BIBLE STORIES IN A FRESH, FUNNY NEW LIGHT

If I thought this would be a boring religious book when I first turned to page one and started reading, I was quickly set straight. It was, in fact, hard to put it down!

The author gives us fresh new insight into the old, old stories of our childhood Sunday School days. He uses humor and sometimes impolitically (is that a word?) correct language (which was quite appropriate for the circumstances)to tell the stories in a new, grownup fashion.

Did anyone realize that Methuselah might have died in the great flood, which means he would have lived even longer had he been as God-fearing as his grandson, Noah.

The reader will learn many fascinating facts and some interesting speculation while enjoying the author's version of the old Bible stories.

And I especially like the ending of each chapter, 'In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.'
